Connecting a Stepper Motor Extruder as an End Effector

I am trying to set up a 3D Printer Head on a UR3. First, the Print Head uses a Stepper Motor for extrusion. I decided to use the STEP/DIR mode to control the motor. Should I connect the 3 pins as Tool I/O Digital Outputs or General Purpose I/O Digital Outputs on the UR controller?
Also, when I connect to a Stepper Motor Driver (https://www.oyostepper.com/category-16-b0-Stepper-Motor-Driver.html), can I directly utilize the internal different voltage levels of the Tool Digital Outputs?
